Inglenook Cottage is a grade two listed period cottage dating from around 1640 set in the beautiful Purbeck countryside, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The village shop, church, pub and an adventure farm are all within a short walk of the cottage as well as many footpaths leading to the coast or inland over the hills.

Ideally located between Swanage and Corfe Castle, it is the perfect base to stay in Dorset all year round. Surrounded by stunning beaches and lovely walks, you are never far from exciting activities such as fishing, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, diving, horse riding, mountain biking and golf.

Also on the doorstep are many of Dorset’s top attractions including the Jurassic Coast, Corfe Castle, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Brownsea Island, as well as RSPB and nature reserves at Arne and Studland to name but a few.

Inglenook Cottage is less than an hours drive from Weymouth and Portland, the official venue for the Olympic sailing events in 2012. 

Facilities

Whilst the cottage retains many original features it was renovated in recent years and offers modern comforts such as gas central heating throughout.

The downstairs accommodation comprises a large lounge/dining area with a beamed ceiling and an inglenook stone fireplace with a wood burning stove. There is a colour television with digital freeview, DVD player, CD player and radio. The open plan kitchen is fitted with a cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Upstairs there is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bathroom with a walk-in shower as well as a large bath. At the rear of the cottage guests have the exclusive use of an enclosed south-facing garden with a lawn and a paved patio area.

Sorry, no smoking or pets. Children are welcome and a cot, stair gate and highchair are available upon request.

The cottage is carefully and lovingly looked after by the owners who live next door.
